Do you want to save the information that you just came across while scrolling online? Simply take a screenshot from your iPhone or record the screen if you do not want to take multiple screenshots. But in case you have an iPhone 12 or higher, taking a screenshot would be a bit different due to the changed functions in newer models. Hence, we have listed three ways in which you can take a screenshot on iPhone 12.
The 3 Different Ways to Take a Screenshot on iPhone 12
1. Using the Power and Volume Buttons
Perhaps the most common way of taking a screenshot on any smartphone is by using the side buttons. You can take a screenshot using this method with an iPhone 12 too:
Step 1: Open the page or post which you want to take a screenshot of.
Step 2: Press the “Power” and “Volume Up” buttons simultaneously.
While pressing these two buttons simultaneously, your iPhone might slip. You can use Phone Ring Holder so that holding an iPhone becomes easy.
Step 3: Release the buttons once the screenshot has been captured. This will be indicated by the screenshot popping up on the bottom left corner, as shown in the image below.
2. Using Assistive Touch
Another quick and easy way to take a screenshot on iPhone 12 is through the Assistive Touch feature. Let me take you through the steps required to enable this option and capture screenshots.
Step 1: Open the settings of your iPhone 12 and tap on “Accessibility > Touch.”
Step 2: Click on “Assistive Touch” and turn it on. This will make a grey dot appear on the screen.
Step 3: Tap on “Customize Top Level Menu” to open the settings panel.
Step 4: Click on “+” and then select “Screenshot” from the list that appears to add its icon to the menu.
Step 5: This will take you back to the “Assistive Touch” menu, from where you can click on “Single Tap” and tick “Open Menu.”
This option will open up a menu whenever you click on the grey dot to select the required action. (Screenshot in this case)
Step 6: Now, whenever you want to take a screenshot on your iPhone 12 using Assistive Touch, all you have to do is to tap on the grey dot and select “Screenshot” from the menu that appears. The captured screenshot will pop up, as shown in the image below.
