How to Make a Slideshow on an iPhone?

Did you know that you can make a spectacular slideshow on an iPhone using the Photos app? 

That’s right! You don’t need to resort to third-party apps or some heavy PC software anymore to create and edit slideshows for your images from a trip or event. You can use the default Photos app on your iPhone to make, edit, customize, and share your slideshow. 

Here are the steps on how to make a slideshow on an iPhone!

How to Make a Photo Slideshow with the Photos App on an iPhone

Step 1:

Open “Photos” on your iPhone. 

In case you’re new to using an iPhone, the Photos app icon looks something like this:

Step 2:

Using the “Select” button in the top right-hand corner, select two or more photos that you want to add to the slideshow.

Step 3:

Once you have selected all the images that you want to add to the slideshow, tap the “Share” option in the lower-left corner of your screen. This icon has denoted a box with an arrow pointing towards the top.

Step 4:

Now, click “Slideshow” from the menu at the bottom.

This will create and play the default slideshow.

However, if you want to make changes to the slideshow, you can follow the steps given below:

Customize a Photo Slideshow on an iPhone

Step 1:

Tap anywhere on the screen while the slideshow is playing. You’ll see “Options” in the bottom right-hand corner.

Step 2:

Click on “Options” to access the slideshow options menu.

Step 3:

Tap ‘Theme’ to change the theme. The “Dissolve” theme, for example, will gradually dissipate the photos or videos into the next.

Step 4:

If you want to change the music, tap ‘Music’ from the menu. You can choose from the default music library or click on “iTunes Music” to select from your personal music collection. 

Step 5:

If you want the slideshow to repeat, make sure the toggle for “Repeat” is on.

Step 6:

Move the button on the sliding bar towards the tortoise to reduce the speed of the slideshow and towards the rabbit to increase it.

Step 7:

When you’ve finished customizing your slideshow, click “Done.”

Step 8:

Tap “Done” again to exit slideshow mode.

Share your Slideshow

Step 1:

Tap the “Share” icon in the corner to share your creation with the world. 

Step 2:

Choose an option from the menu, i.e., Messages, Mail, Facebook, OneDrive, YouTube, etc., to export the slideshow.
